Arsenal legend predicts whether Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez will stay

The former Arsenal defender is worried Alexis Sanchez could leave The Emirates

Martin Keown is tipping Alexis Sanchez to stay at Arsenal but has warned that Mesut Ozil could leave The Emirates.

The north London side have been in protracted contract talks with both Ozil and Sanchez over the past couple of months as Arsenal look to tie down their two big-names to long-term deals.

Arsenal were 4-0 winners against Swansea City on Saturday afternoon and Sanchez scored the visitors’s final goal in a rout of Paul Clement’s side at the Liberty Stadium.

Sanchez has scored 14 goals and has made seven assists in 21 appearances in the Premier League in the 2016-17 season so far.

Germany international Ozil has netted five times and has created three goals in 18 games in the title race before succumbing to illness over the past week or so.

Speaking to BBC’s Football Focus show ahead of Arsenal’s impressive win against Swansea, Keown delivered his verdict on Ozil and Sanchez’s future at The Emirates.

“Are they going to sign? I’m not so sure.

“I think one of them might.

“Sanchez is the player that gets the kind of support from Arsene Wenger that he surely didn’t get at Barcelona.

“I’m not so sure with Ozil, I don’t know how that’s going to pan out.

“I’d like them both to stay, of course.”
