Ray Parlour states prediction for Arsenal v Burnley

The former Arsenal midfielder is confident Arsene Wenger's side will ease to victory over Burnley

Ray Parlour is backing Arsenal to ease to victory in what the legend has described as a much-win game against Burnley.

The Gunners were 4-0 winners against Swansea City last weekend thanks to two own goals as well as efforts from Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez.

The north London side’s comfortable win hoisted them above Manchester City and back into the top four in the hunt for a place in next season’s Champions League.

Arsenal haven’t lost a Premier League game at the Emirates Stadium since a 4-3 loss to title rivals Liverpool on the opening day of the 2016-17 campaign.

The north London side will face a Burnley outfit that have the worst away record in the Premier League despite their impressive form at Turf Moor.

Speaking to the Alan Brazil Up Front podcast ahead of Arsenal’s home clash against Burnley, Parlour tipped the Gunners to win what is a must-win fixture.

“You’ve got to go Arsenal. They can’t afford to lose these games – no disrespect to Burnley,” Parlour said.

“If they’ve got any chance of winning the league or finishing second, you’ve got to win these games. I’ve got to put them down as a home win.”
