Arsene Wenger: This is what Arsenal want more from Mesut Ozil

Arsene Wenger wants Mesut Ozil to score more goals for Arsenal this season...

Arsene Wenger has admitted that he wants Mesut Ozil to score more goals for Arsenal.

The Germany playmaker has quickly established himself as one of the Premier League’s most exciting attacking talents following his arrival in England from Real Madrid in the summer of 2013.

Ozil has been a regular fixture in the Arsenal first team since his move to England and notched up more assists than any other player in the Premier League last season.

However, Arsenal boss Wenger admits that he would like to see the 28-year-old Germany international find the net more regularly for the north London side.

Speaking to Arsenal Player ahead of the Gunners’ trip to Swansea on Saturday, Wenger said: “I think what you want of him is to score goals. He is moving in the right way but always, from such a talent, you are maybe a little bit unjust because you always want more.

“You feel there is no limitation in his game and so you always say, ‘Come on, give us more’ because you always have feeling he can do more.

“We are all human beings who can improve every day. I think he has a passion for the game, you do not get the technique he has just by the gift of God, you have to focus on every single pass you have made since you were a kid to get that touch, technique and vision.

“For that you need a passion for the game and he has exceptional passion. He gives you always the feeling that he can make the team improve with the quality of his passes.”

Arsenal are now currently preparing for their Premier League clash against Burnley at The Emirates next weekend.
