Chelsea are in talks with Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie about a potential move to Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window, according to an Italian journalist.
Sky Sports Italia reporter Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea are holding discussions with the highly-rated Serie A midfielder over a transfer to the Premier League leaders.
Romanzo added on Twitter that Kessie’s current employers Atalanta want to keep the promising African until the summer following his impressive performances in the 2016-17 Serie A campaign so far.

The 20-year-old has scored six times and has made one assist in 17 appearances in the Italian top flight this term to catch the eyes of a host of Premier League clubs.
Chelsea signed five players in the summer transfer window following Antonio Conte’s appointment as the west London club’s new manager in the summer.
Conte’s side are sitting at the top of the Premier League and clear of their closest rivals Liverpool and Manchester City after an impressive winning run.
