Chelsea are ready to table an initial offer of £34m to sign Arturo Vidal from Bayern Munich this month, according to reports in the British media.

The Sun is reporting that Antonio Conte is keen on a reunion with the Chile international at Stamford Bridge after having coached him during their spells at Juventus.

The same story says that Chelsea have turned their attentions to Vidal after initially wanting to sign Radja Nainggolan from AS Roma.

The article also states that Chelsea have plenty of funds available following Oscar’s sale in the January transfer window.

The report says that Chelsea are set to make an initial £34m bid but that Bayern are likely to want closer to £40m for Vidal.
