Dietmar Hamann: Jurgen Klopp has transformed this Liverpool player
The Liverpool legend highlights Adam Lallana's improvement under Jurgen Klopp this term
Dietmar Hamann has hailed Adam Lallana’s dramatic improvement under Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
The England international has blossomed into one of the Merseyside outfit’s key players over the past 18 months since Klopp’s appointment as Brendan Rodgers’ successor back in October 2015.
Lallana has been in prolific form in recent weeks to help the 18-time English champions stay within touching distance of Chelsea in the title race in the continued absence of Brazil international Philippe Coutinho.
The former Southampton captain has scored four goals and has made one assist in his last four Premier League games to help the Reds collect 10 points.
Writing in his Paddy Power column, Hamann singled out Lallana for special praise following the attacking midfielder’s impressive performance in a 4-1 win against Stoke City.
“Adam Lallana looks like a different player under Klopp – he has outstanding balance, can play the ball with both feet and now he’s finding goals regularly,” Hamann said.
Lallana has scored seven times and has made six assists in 16 Premier League appearances so far this season.
Liverpool finished in eighth place in the Premier League table last season.
Klopp signed seven players in the summer transfer window.
