Jody Morris has taken to social media to heap praise on Eden Hazard for his hard-working performance for Chelsea against Liverpool on Tuesday night.

Chelsea took the lead in the 24th minute at Anfield when David Luiz’s superb dipping free kick left Simon Mignolet stranded in the Liverpool goal.

However, Liverpool improved after half-time and equalised in the 57th minute when Georginio Wijnaldum headed home from the centre of the box.

There was to be no third goal at Anfield as the two sides shared the spoils on Merseyside after Diego Costa missed a late penalty.

Hazard, who was the player fouled in the build-up to Chelsea’s opener, played 72 minutes at Anfield before he was eventually replaced by Pedro.

And former midfielder Morris was particularly impressed by the Belgian’s display for the Blues at Anfield.

Morris tweeted during the game:

Chelsea now turn their attentions towards their crunch Premier League clash with Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday lunchtime.

The Blues are currently nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
