Eric Bailly: I want Man United to make this January transfer
Eric Bailly says he wants to see Manchester United sign Victor Lindelof from Benfica in the January transfer window
Eric Bailly has admitted that he wants to see Manchester United sign Victor Lindelof in the January transfer window.
The Red Devils have been linked with a host of players in the January window but are yet to officially announce any deals to bring any new stars to Old Trafford.
Manchester United were one of the biggest spending teams in the summer transfer window, as they brought Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Bailly to the club following Jose Mourinho’s appointment as the club’s new manager.
Benfica defender Lindelof has been touted as a possible transfer target for Manchester United this month as Mourinho ponders bolstering his rearguard options at Old Trafford.
Bailly is currently on international duty at the African Cup of Nations with the Ivory Coast.
And the defender has admitted that he would like to see Lindelof secure a transfer to Old Trafford this month.
Bailly told Fotbollskanalen, as quoted by Metro: “I hope to play with him [Lindelof]. Hopefully he will help us.
“He is a very good player. He has great qualities and will certainly do it well if he comes to us.
“We have many good central defenders [like] Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones but I hope I get to play with Lindelof.”
Bailly has earned plenty of praise for his performances for Manchester United since his move to the club in the summer from Villarreal.
