Eric Bailly reveals his thoughts on Man United’s draw with Liverpool

Eric Bailly was watching Manchester United take on Liverpool in the Premier League while on international duty

Eric Bailly has revealed that he has been keeping tabs on Manchester United’s fortunes while on international duty with the Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations.

The Manchester United defender is currently on duty with his national side as they look to take home the trophy.

However, despite being away from his Manchester United team-mates, Bailly is still keeping tabs on his team’s progress.

And the defender has revealed that he watched the Red Devils’ 1-1 draw with Liverpool at the weekend.

Asked if he watched the game, Bailly told Manchester United’s website: “Yes, of course I watched it with my friends.

“I have lots of friends in this team and we watched it together.

“It was good game and a very important point for us, equalising at the end of the match. It’s good for the team.”

Bailly joined Manchester United from Villarreal as Jose Mourinho’s first signing in the summer.

The Red Devils are currently in sixth place in the Premier League table as they look to break back into the top four in Mourinho’s first campaign in charge.

Manchester United travel to Stoke on Saturday afternoon as they bid to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.
