Eric Bailly sends message to Man United supporters about his future
Eric Bailly is hoping to finish his career at Manchester United after arriving at the club last summer
Eric Bailly has told Manchester United fans that he would be happy to finish his career at Old Trafford.
The Ivorian defender arrived at Old Trafford from Villarreal last summer as Jose Mourinho’s first signing following his appointment as Red Devils boss in May.
Bailly impressed with some strong performances for the Red Devils in the first half of the season before heading off on international duty to the African Cup of Nations with the Ivory Coast.
The defender will return to Old Trafford later in the season as he looks to help Manchester United push for a top-four finish in the Premier League.
And the centre-half has admitted that he has been thrilled by his start to life at his new club.
Speaking in an interview with Sport360, Bailly said: “Hopefully I can play in Manchester all my life.
“I am very happy here because it is such a great club. It is such an honour to play for this club and I hope I can continue giving my best and become a great player in this club.”
Manchester United are currently in sixth place in the Premier League table and 12 points behind leaders Chelsea as they prepare for their trip to Stoke on Saturday.
