Gary Lineker has taken to social media to praise Shkodran Mustafi’s display after the defender scored in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Burnley in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Germany defender has been a regular fixture in the Arsenal first team since his arrival at The Emirates from Valencia in the summer transfer window.
After a goalless first half at The Emirates, Mustafi gave the Gunners the lead when he headed in Mesut Ozil’s corner in the 59th minute.
Arsenal were then reduced to 10 men when Granit Xhaka was shown a straight red card for a reckless tackle as he was sent off for the ninth time in less than three years.
England legend Lineker was clearly impressed by what he saw from Mustafi after he scored the opener on Sunday afternoon at The Emirates.
Was only a matter of time before Arsenal scored. Mustafi proving to be a very valued and shrewd addition to the Gunners' armoury.

However, substitute Francis Coquelin conceded a stoppage-time penalty, which Andre Gray duly converted to equalise.
But it was Alexis Sanchez who had the final say, when he converted his penalty after Laurent Koscielny was fouled in the box.
Arsenal now turn their attentions towards preparing for their FA Cup fourth-round clash against Southampton next weekend.
