Gary Neville explains how Anthony Martial can become Man United success

The Manchester United legend has some simple advice for Anthony Martial

Gary Neville has urged Anthony Martial to rekindle his love for football and show that in his performances for Manchester United.

The France international has endured a tough start to the 2016-17 season under new manager Jose Mourinho after the Portuguese coach replaced Louis van Gaal in the summer.

Martial was signed in a £36m deal from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco in the summer transfer window and excelled in the Manchester United side as he added much-needed energy and enthusiasm.

The 21-year-old finished with a respectable return of 11 goals in 49 appearances in all competitions to cap what was a largely positive first season in the Premier League.

But Martial has struggled to tie down a regular starting spot in Mourinho’s side this season and has only scored three times in 14 appearances in the English top flight.

The French forward was omitted from the Manchester United squad that played out a 1-1 draw with Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium at the weekend which led to questions about Martial’s future under Mourinho.

However, Neville has explained in simple terms what Martial must do to overhaul his Manchester United career.
