Gary Neville issues challenge to Eden Hazard at Chelsea
Gary Neville challenges Eden Hazard to fulfil his potential at Chelsea this season
Gary Neville says that Eden Hazard has the ability to become one of the top five players in the world at Chelsea if he puts his mind to it.
The Belgian playmaker has been in fine form for the west London club this season and has been one of Chelsea’s standout performers this term.
His performances this season have helped Chelsea build a six-point lead at the top of the Premier League table and have been in stark contrast to his struggles last term as the Blues finished 10th and with their title defence in tatters.
Hazard has scored nine goals and made two assists for the Blues in the Premier League to help Antonio Conte’s men move top of the table and win their last 13 games in the top flight on the spin.
Former Manchester United defender Neville feels that Hazard has the ability to become one of the world’s best if he correctly applies himself at Chelsea.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Neville said: “Hazard is one of the top five players in the world, if he wants to be one of the top five players in the world, and I say that because of his drop off last season.”
Chelsea take on Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night.
