Gary Neville: This is why Man United’s rivals should be worried
Gary Neville believes that Manchester United have begun to find their best form under Jose Mourinho
Gary Neville believes that Jose Mourinho has begun to properly find his feet at Manchester United in recent weeks.
The Red Devils continued their fine form in the top flight on Monday night as they secured a 2-0 win over West Ham United in the Premier League at the London Stadium to make it six victories on the spin in the top flight.
Manchester United had initially struggled to find consistent form following the appointment of Mourinho as the club’s new manager back in May.
However, it now appears that the Red Devils are clicking into gear under their new boss.
And former Manchester United defender Neville feels that there are plenty of reasons for Red Devils fans to be positive about what they have seen from their team in recent weeks.
Speaking to Sky Sports after Manchester United’s win over West Ham, Neville said: “Two or three months ago he was accused of having lost his magic and not being able to influence games any more. He influenced the game enormously today.
“He’s a great manager and I think the way he deployed Marcus Rashford was the best thing. Rashford’s influence on the game was really big. The substitutions today were big.”
Manchester United are currently 10 points behind Chelsea, who take on Tottenham on Wednesday night.
