Glenn Hoddle hailed Chelsea’s impressive performance after their 3-0 victory over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday evening.

Chelsea were looking to make a swift return to winning ways after the Premier League leaders lost 2-0 to Tottenham Hotspur last time out as their 13-game winning run came to an end at White Hart Lane.

Marcos Alonso eased any nerves for the visitors with a 12th-minute strike before the summer signing extended their lead after half-time to put Antonio Conte’s men in charge despite the absence of Diego Costa.

Chelsea wrapped up three points with 30 minutes to go after Pedro Rodriguez combined brilliantly with Willian before the Spanish forward headed past Kasper Schmeichel.

Speaking to BT Sport during Chelsea’s 3-0 win against defending champions Leicester on Saturday evening, Hoddle praised Chelsea’s brisk tempo throughout the Premier League clash.

“Chelsea have been magnificent, they really have. They’ve passed the ball much quicker than I’ve seen them all season,” Hoddle said.

Chelsea are seven points clear of second-placed Tottenham although Liverpool can cut the west London side’s lead to five points with victory over Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
