Graeme Souness delivers verdict on key Tottenham duo ahead of Chelsea clash

Graeme Souness delivers his verdict on Harry Kane and Dele Alli ahead of Tottenham v Chelsea on Wednesday night

Graeme Souness has admitted that he is a huge admirer of both Harry Kane and Dele Alli, and says he is expecting the Tottenham pair to get even better in the coming years.

The Spurs duo have earned plenty of new admirers for their brilliant form for the north London club in recent months under Mauricio Pochettino.

Kane and Alli have earned reputations as two of the most promising young English talents in the Premier League following their brilliant form under Pochettino at White Hart Lane.

The pair will be expecting to start for the Lilywhites when Spurs host Chelsea in Wednesday night’s crunch clash at White Hart Lane in the Premier League.

And Liverpool legend Souness has conceded that he is a huge admirer of both players.

Speaking to Sky Sports on Sunday afternoon, Souness said: “He [Kane] can only get better.

“Looking at his character, the way he speaks and his appetite for the game… he loves scoring goals and is a great footballer. Unless he gets a bad knock…

“You’d say the same about Dele Alli – they seem to be two grand young men and they can only get better if they keep their feet on the ground.”
