Graeme Souness opens up about Chelsea under Antonio Conte

Graeme Souness has been very impressed by what he has seen from Chelsea boss Antonio Conte

Graeme Souness has praised Antonio Conte for the impact he has had at Chelsea this season and the way he has forged a strong team spirit.

The Blues have been in fine form in the Premier League this season and have established themselves as the firm favourites to lift the top-flight trophy in May.

Chelsea are currently flying high at the top of the table and are eight points clear of second placed Arsenal after 22 games of the new campaign.

Conte was brought in to restore Chelsea to the top of English football after the disappointment of their 10th-placed finish last season.

The Italian watched his team notch up a 2-0 win over Hull City at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

And Souness was particularly impressed by how Conte conducted himself in his post-match interview at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Liverpool legend Souness said: “He didn’t want to talk about any individual. It was all about the team. He emphasises how difficult the league is. He is handling it perfectly. What else can you? It’s faultless.”
