Guillem Balague provides latest update on Chelsea’s search for first January signing

The Sky Sports expert claims that Chelsea want to swap Michy Batshuayi for West Ham attacker Michail Antonio

Chelsea want to swap Michy Batshuayi for West Ham midfielder Michail Antonio, according to Guillem Balague.

The Sun reported on Tuesday that Chelsea were close to signing Spain international Fernando Llorente in a swap-deal that would see Batshuayi move to Swansea City in the January transfer window.

However, Sky Sports reporter Balague has taken to Twitter to claim that the Belgium international doesn’t want to move to the struggling Welsh outfit.

Batshuayi moved to Chelsea in a £34m deal from Ligue 1 side Marseille in the summer transfer window following the appointment of Antonio Conte as the west London club’s new manager.

Attempting to shed some light on intricate workings of a potential deal that would see Chelsea sign an attacking player in January and offload Batshuayi, Balague sent out the following two tweets:

Chelsea are sitting at the top of the Premier League table and five points clear of their closest rivals Liverpool.

Llorente has scored five times in 11 games in the Premier League since his move to Swansea from Sevilla.
