Harry Redknapp makes confident prediction about Tottenham striker
The former Spurs manager is backing Harry Kane to keep scoring goals for Tottenham Hotspur
Harry Redknapp is confident that Harry Kane will prove a huge success at Tottenham Hotspur.
The England international has been in excellent form for the north London side in the 2016-17 season so far despite missing a portion of the campaign with an ankle injury.
Indeed, Kane has scored 14 times in 17 games in the Premier League season so far – only Chelsea striker Diego Costa and Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has scored more time than the Tottenham star.
The 23-year-old finished as the Premier League’s leading goal-scorer last term after he finished with 25 goals in 37 games in the English top flight as Spurs finished in third place.
Speaking to BT Sport after Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with Manchester City on Saturday evening, Redknapp backed Kane to finish as one of the Premier League’s highest-ever goal-scorers.
“I’m a big Harry Kane fan. He’ll keep scoring goals for the next 10 years. When you look back at Harry Kane in 10 years if he stays at Tottenham, he’ll have an amazing amount of goals to his name,” Kane told BT Sport.
Tottenham are in third place in the Premier League table and nine points adrift of leaders Chelsea after the Blues were 2-0 winners against Hull City on Sunday afternoon.
