Henrikh Mkhitaryan issues Man United rallying cry ahead of Stoke clash
Henrikh Mkhitaryan is urging Manchester United to get back to winning ways against Stoke City on Saturday
Henrikh Mkhitaryan has challenged Manchester United to return to winning ways in the Premier League when the Red Devils travel to Stoke this weekend.
Jose Mourinho’s men were forced to settled for a point against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon as they came from a goal down to earn a 1-1 draw against the Reds at Old Trafford.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the equaliser for the Red Devils after James Milner’s penalty had put Jurgen Klopp’s men in front in the first half.
The result dealt another blow to Manchester United’s fading title hopes and left Mourinho’s side 12 points behind leaders Chelsea in the race for the top-flight trophy.
Manchester United had been on a six-game winning run in the Premier League before Sunday’s draw.
And Mkhitaryan is determined to help the Red Devils get back to winning ways at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday.
Speaking in an interview with Manchester United’s website after the game, Mkhitaryan said: “We have to win, try to win the next game.
“We are not looking for records, we are doing our best to be in the top four and to do that you have to win games. Do not think about records because one day they will break.
“We are just trying to do our job by winning every game.”
