Insider provides latest Chelsea transfer update on Fernando Llorente

Guillem Balague provides an update on Chelsea's pursuit of Swansea City striker Fernando Llorente

Chelsea haven’t spoken to Swansea City striker Fernando Llorente about a January move to Stamford Bridge, according to Guillem Balague.

The Spanish striker has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League leaders over the past week as Antonio Conte looks to strengthen his attacking options this month.

Llorente played under the Chelsea manager during his short spell at Juventus before the centre-forward returned to La Liga with Europa League champions Sevilla last term.

The 31-year-old has already scored a respectable five goals in 11 appearances in the Premier League this season under three different managers for the struggling Welsh outfit.

However, Sky Sports reporter and La Liga expert Balague shed some light on the situation between Chelsea and Llorente.

Balague tweeted:

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has scored 14 times in 19 appearances in the Premier League this season.
