Insider replies when asked if Tottenham will sign Isco or Malaga midfielder
Guillem Balague has ruled out Tottenham Hotspur signing Real Madrid's Isco or Malaga's Sandro Ramirez
Tottenham Hotspur won’t sign Real Madrid midfielder Isco or Malaga playmaker Sandro Ramirez, according to Guillem Balague.
Spurs have established themselves as genuine title contenders in the 2016-17 season after an impressive unbeaten run in the Premier League.
The Independent reported in December that Tottenham were monitoring Spanish midfielder Isco ahead of the January transfer window.
Isco has scored five goals in 13 games in the Premier League so far this season, although he started just five top-flight appearances.
The Daily Mirror have regularly linked Tottenham with a move to sign Malaga’s Ramirez over the past couple of months.
The Spanish forward has scored seven times in 17 games in La Liga this term.
Asked whether Tottenham could sign Isco or Ramirez in the January transfer window, Sky Sports expert Balague said:
“Spurs don’t want Sandro and although they tried for Isco in the summer they are not after him now and he is not going to leave,” Balague said.
Tottenham are in third place in the Premier League table and nine point adrift of current leaders Chelsea.
Spurs signed five players in the summer transfer window after a third-placed finish last term.
