Insider reveals Arsenal haven’t made a bid for ‘Italy’s best young striker’

Sky Sports News reporter claims that Arsenal haven't been in contact with Torino over Andrea Belotti

Arsenal haven’t made a bid for Torino striker Andrea Belotti in the January transfer window, according to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol.

The Sun reported last week that the Gunners were interested in the prolific Serie A goal-scorer as Arsene Wenger looks to improve his attacking options at the Emirates Stadium.

Belotti has been in devastating form for the Italian club this season after a staggering return of 13 goals and three assists in 17 appearances in Serie A last season.

The same article stated that Arsene Wenger was keeping tabs on Belotti and wanted to be informed if any rivals made a move for the highly-rated Italian centre-forward.

However, Sky Sports News HQ reporter Solhekol has taken to Twitter to provide an update on Arsenal’s pursuit of the Torino striker.

Solhekol tweeted:

Olivier Giroud has scored four goals in his last four games in all competitions for the north London club.

Arsenal are in fifth place in the Premier League table and eight points adrift of leaders Chelsea.
