Insider rules out Man United signing Benfica defender in January transfer window
Manchester United have cooled their interest in Benfica defender Vincent Lindelof, according to a Sky Sports News reporter
Manchester United aren’t interested in signing Benfica defender Vincent Lindelof, according to reports in the British media.
Sky Sports News HQ journalist Kavel Solhekol has taken to Twitter to update Manchester United supporters on their club’s interest in the Sweden international.
As recently as Friday, The Daily Mirror published a report suggesting that the Red Devils were on the brink of signing Lindelof in a £38m deal in the January transfer window.
However, Solhekol has now claimed that the Red Devils have cooled their interest in the centre-half and Serie A giants Inter Milan have entered the race for the Swede’s signature.

Manchester United signed Ivory Coast international Eric Bailly in a £30m deal from La Liga side Villarreal in the summer transfer window as the defender became the first signing of the Jose Mourinho era at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils are in sixth place in the Premier League table and three points adrift of the top four after 20 games.
