Jack Wilshere names Arsenal’s best player but snubs Alexis Sanchez

The on-loan Bournemouth midfielder names Arsenal's best player

Jack Wilshere has named Santi Cazorla as Arsenal’s best player ahead of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.

The Gunners have managed to remain in the top four despite a slump in December following back-to-back losses to Everton and Manchester City on the road to leave Arsenal nine points behind Chelsea.

Ozil was heavily criticised for his subdued performances at Goodison Park and the Etihad Stadium after a solid start to the 2016-17 campaign for the north London side’s record signing.

Sanchez has chipped in with 12 goals and seven assists in 19 Premier League games ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Bournemouth in their next fixture at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday night.

Arsenal have been without Cazorla for much of the season due to injury, which has limited the Spain international to just seven Premier League starts this term.

Speaking in an interview with Elite Skills Arena – as quoted by Metro, Wilshere named Cazorla ahead of Ozil and Sanchez as Arsenal’s best player.

“Everyone’s seen him, he’s got magic feet,” Wilshere said.

“He’s the best around so it would be him as the best player.”
