Jamie Carragher: I love watching this Tottenham player
The Liverpool legend heaps praise on Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane
Jamie Carragher says he loves watching Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane ahead of their clash against Chelsea at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night.
The England centre-forward has been in superb form in the Premier League in recent weeks after Kane scored two first-half goals in a 4-1 win against Watford at Vicarage Road on New Year’s Day.
Kane has still managed to score a remarkable 10 goals and make two assists in 14 Premier League appearances despite missing six of Tottenham’s games due to an ankle injury in September.
The 23-year-old striker has scored nine goals in his last 10 games in all competitions for the north London side.
Speaking to Sky Sports after Tottenham’s impressive 4-1 victory over Watford at Vicarage Road on New Year’s Day, Carragher singled out Kane for special praise.
“The funny thing with Harry Kane is that he always seems to have a slow start to the season and he always gets questioned,” Carragher said.
“He has a slow start and then he just kicks in. I love watching him.”
Kane netted 25 times in 37 games in the Premier League last season, finishing as the English top-flight’s leading goal-scorer.
Tottenham are 10 points behind current leaders Chelsea after 20 games in the 2016-17 season.
