Jamie Carragher poses title question about Dele Alli and Tottenham
The ex-Liverpool defender hint that Dele Alli could fire Tottenham Hotspur to the Premier League title
Jamie Carragher has suggested that Dele Alli could be capable of firing Tottenham Hotspur to their first-ever Premier League title this season.
The England international has been in scintillating form in recent weeks after Alli scored five times in three Premier League games ahead of the visit of leaders Chelsea at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night.
The 21-year-old midfielder continued his incredible form against Antonio Conte’s side after Alli scored either side of half-time to bring to an end Chelsea’s 13-game winning and offer the chasing pack some hope in the title race.
Alli got on the end of Christian Eriksen’s cross to guide a header past Thibaut Courtois in added time at the end of the first half before the midfielder scored a similar goal 12 minutes after half-time.
The reigning PFA young player of the year has scored 10 times in 19 appearances in the Premier League this season.
Former Liverpool defender Carragher hinted that Alli could be the player that Tottenham need to fire them to the title.
On Sunday I said Spurs maybe lacked a top class player like Hazard to win the league, could Deli Alli be that man? #TOTCHE
