The former Tottenham midfielder says Mauricio Pochettino's side are on the march in the title race
Jamie Redknapp believes Liverpool and Manchester United will be thinking that Tottenham Hotspur are on the march in the title race.
Spurs were impressive 4-0 winners against West Bromwich Albion at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon thanks to Gareth McAuley’s own goal and Harry Kane’s hat-trick.
Tottenham managed to hoist themselves above Liverpool and into second place in the Premier League table ahead of the Merseyside outfit’s trip to Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
Pochettino’s side have won their last six Premier League games to boost their title challenge after a sticky spell during October and November in the absence of Toby Alderweireld and Harry Kane through injury.
Speaking to Sky Sports after Tottenham’s 4-0 win against West Brom on Saturday afternoon, ex-Spurs midfielder Redknapp warned Liverpool and Manchester United about Pochettino’s men in the title race.
Redknapp said: “They’ve got pace in the team, they’re powerful. This result will send shockwaves through the league today. Man United and Liverpool will have been watching it and thinking Tottenham are on a march, they are flying.”
Tottenham finished in third place in the Premier League table and 11 points adrift of champions Leicester City last term.
Spurs signed five players in the summer transfer window.
