Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink: Arsenal will make Chelsea nervous in title race
The former Chelsea striker warns Antonio Conte about their London rivals in the title race
Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will be making Chelsea feel nervous in the title race, according to Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
Tottenham failed to move to within four points of Chelsea on Saturday evening after Spurs came from 2-0 down to rescue a 2-2 stalemate at the Etihad Stadium thanks to goals from Dele Alli and Son Heung-min.
Arsenal seized their chance to put pressure on the Premier League leaders thanks to a 2-1 win against Sean Dyche’s Burnley side after Alexis Sanchez’s last-ditch penalty in north London.
Chelsea managed to edge to an unconvincing 2-0 win against Hull City in Sunday’s late kick-off thanks to goals from Diego Costa and Gary Cahill at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking to talkSPORT about Chelsea’s biggest challengers in the title race, former Blues striker Hasselbaink warned his old employers about their London rivals.
“Since Conte changed the formation, Chelsea have had more clean sheets than any other club in the league,” Hasselbaink said.
“Tottenham and Arsenal going to push Chelsea all the way. Chelsea are in the driving seat, but you know anything can happen in the Premier League.
“On the other hand there’s only 16 games to go and I can’t see Chelsea losing that many. It will be difficult for anyone to catch Chelsea, but Tottenham and Arsenal are the closest to Chelsea to get them a little bit nervous.”
Chelsea finished in tenth place in the Premier League table last season.
The west London side signed five players in the summer transfer window.
