Jose Mourinho delivers fresh Man United transfer update: These are my plans for January
Jose Mourinho insists that he does not want to sell any Manchester United players in the January window
Jose Mourinho has reiterated his stance that he does not want to sell any Manchester United players in the January transfer window.
The Red Devils are a club bound to be at the centre of plenty of transfer speculation now that the mid-season window has opened.
There are a number of first-team players that have been linked with moves away from Old Trafford in recent weeks due to their lack of first-team football under Mourinho this season.
Mourinho confirmed last month that Morgan Schneiderlin had asked to leave the club, while Bastian Schweinsteiger is another player not to have featured regularly this term.
The Portuguese coach insists that he wants to keep hold of all of his players in the January window but accepts that it would be wrong to stand in the way if any of his team members asked to leave in search of regular football.
Speaking at a news conference on Friday, Mourinho said: “I don’t want to sell players.
“The club, the board, are totally with me – they don’t want to sell players. But as I told before, if a player is not having lots of minutes and if a player really wants to leave, we have no right to stop the player to leave – if the conditions are our conditions.
“And until this moment we have not received one single offer that we are going to accept.”
