Jose Mourinho talks up Marcus Rashford and the impact he has had at Manchester United this season
Jose Mourinho has claimed that Marcus Rashford has Manchester United “in his DNA” and has been delighted by the teenager’s performances for the Red Devils this season.
Rashford proved his worth to Mourinho’s side on Monday afternoon when he came off the bench to help inspire the Red Devils to a 2-0 victory over West Ham United at the London Stadium.
The 19-year-old has earned plenty of praise for his performances for the Red Devils in recent months since breaking into the first team at Old Trafford under Louis van Gaal last season.
The teenager has scored three goals and made one assist in 16 Premier League games for the Red Devils so far this season under his new boss.
And Mourinho has admitted that he has been thrilled by Rashford’s attitude and performances in recent weeks for the Red Devils.
Speaking in an interview after Manchester United’s win over West Ham, Mourinho said: “Rashford is very professional and very mature, he is a Manchester United player with Manchester United DNA.
“Having Ibra this season and next season is excellent for Marcus.”
