Jose Mourinho wants Man United to sign Monaco playmaker in the summer – report
Manchester United are interested in signing Monaco midfielder Bernardo Silva
Jose Mourinho has targeted Monaco midfielder Bernardo Silva as a potential signing for Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to reports in England.
The Sun are reporting that Mourinho has identified playmaker Silva as a player who could help another Manchester United target Antoine Griezmann thrive if the Red Devils land the striker.
However, the same article states that the Red Devils will have to cough up a fee in the region of £70m for the Monaco star amid interest from La Liga giants Real Madrid.
The Portuguese attacking midfielder has scored four goals and has made four assists in 21 appearances in Ligue 1 so far this season.
Manchester United signed four players last summer after Mourinho was appointed as Louis van Gaal’s successor last May.
The Red Devils boss recruited former Sweden international Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Borussia Dortmund playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Villarreal defender Eric Bailly and world-record signing Paul Pogba.
Manchester United are in sixth place in the Premier League table.
