Wenger delivers latest Arsenal injury update ahead of Burnley test
Arsene Wenger confirms the latest team news ahead of Arsenal's clash with Burnley on Sunday afternoon
Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Hector Bellerin will be back available for selection when Arsenal host Burnley in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The Spanish full-back has been out of action in recent weeks due to injury but has now returned to training ahead of Sunday’s clash with Burnley at The Emirates.
Wenger also confirmed that Francis Coquelin and Kieran Gibbs have also shaken off minor problems to be available for Sunday’s game, and that Olivier Giroud should also be ready for selection after he returned to training on Wednesday.
However, the Arsenal boss also revealed that Theo Walcott remains sidelined and will not be ready for Sunday’s game.
Speaking at his pre-match news conference on Thursday morning, Wenger said: “Overall from last week, Bellerin, Coquelin and Gibbs are back in the group.
“Not Walcott, but these three should be available for selection for Sunday. We have no injuries from last week.
“He [Giroud] is back in training since yesterday.”
Arsenal are currently in third place in the Premier League table after their 4-0 win over Swansea City in the top flight last weekend.
The north London side are eight points behind leaders Chelsea.
