Gary Neville makes honest admission about Man United striker Anthony Martial
The Manchester United legend delivers his honest verdict on Anthony Martial's current situation at Old Trafford
Gary Neville says Anthony Martial needs to show more consistency under Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.
The France international was left out of Jose Mourinho’s squad for Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday evening as Wayne Rooney scored a late equaliser to rescue a point.
Martial started against Liverpool debutant and teenager Trent Alexander Arnold at Old Trafford in his last start but the French forward failed to exploit the right-back’s inexperience in the Premier League clash.
The 21-year-old has scored two goals and has made three assists in 13 appearances in the Premier League so far this season, netting two goals in eight games in the cup competitions for the Red Devils.
Martial scored 11 times in 49 appearances in all competitions in what was impressive first season at Old Trafford.
Manchester United legend Neville delivered his verdict on Martial on Twitter after Mourinho gave an update on the striker’s situation at Old Trafford.
He's only achieving a very small part of his potential. He ranges from sensational to disinterested . Let's hope he gets going now! https://t.co/fORTYlAx2Z
