Michael Owen states his prediction for Leicester v Chelsea
Michael Owen looks ahead to Chelsea's clash with Leicester City on Saturday night
Michael Owen is tipping Chelsea to return to winning ways in the Premier League by beating Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday night.
The Blues head into the game looking to get their campaign back on track after the disappointment of losing to Tottenham 2-0 in their most recent top flight outing.
Chelsea are still flying high at the top of the Premier League table and are five points clear of second-placed Liverpool heading into this weekend’s round of fixtures.
And former Liverpool striker Owen is fully expecting to see the Blues get their title bid back on track by beating defending champions Leicester City this weekend.
Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “The hosts are missing a number of key players on AFCON duty although last weekend’s excellent win at Goodison showed they have the squad to cope.
“That said, they are playing a different Blues side at the King Power on Saturday and I expect Chelsea to take all three points.”
Chelsea’s sharp upturn in form this season has been in stark contrast to their struggles last term, when they ended up 10th in the table and without a trophy after Jose Mourinho’s sacking.
