Cesc Fabregas states confident prediction for Liverpool v Chelsea

The Chelsea midfielder is confident that Antonio Conte's side will beat Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday night

Cesc Fabregas has declared that he is confident Chelsea will beat Liverpool in the Premier League at Anfield on Tuesday night.

The Spain international was handed a rare starting spot on Saturday afternoon as Fabregas helped to steer Chelsea to a 4-0 win against Championship opponents Brentford at Stamford Bridge.

Willian and Pedro Rodriguez scored first-half goals at Stamford Bridge before Serbian defender Branislav Ivanovic made it 3-0 after the break and Michy Batshuayi completed the rout from the penalty spot with nine minutes remaining.

Liverpool, on the other hand, endured a forgettable Saturday afternoon after Jurgen Klopp’s side lost 2-1 to Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield in the FA Cup fourth round.

Speaking to Chelsea’s website about their impending trip to Anfield on Tuesday night, Fabregas stated his confident prediction for their Premier League clash at Anfield.

“We have three days to prepare well and I am sure the manager and the team will do the best we can to prepare for what I hope will be a fantastic game and a win for us,” said Fabregas.

Fabregas moved to Chelsea in a £27m deal from La Liga giants Barcelona in the 2014 summer transfer window.
