Pundit issues warning to Jurgen Klopp ahead of Liverpool v Wolves
Ray Parlour says Liverpool need to be wary of a good Wolves side
Jurgen Klopp can ill-afford to underestimate Wolverhampton Wanderers when Liverpool host the Championship side at Anfield in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday, according to Ray Parlour.
The Reds are on a miserable run of form at Anfield after successive defeats by Swansea City in the Premier League and Southampton in their EFL Cup semi-final on Wednesday night.
Indeed, Shane Long’s added-time winner means Liverpool have only managed to win one of the their seven games in 2017 so far to leave Klopp facing some pressure for the first time in his career.
Liverpool required two games to get past League Two side Plymouth Argyle in the third round after a 1-0 win against the Home Park outfit in the replay.
Speaking to the Alan Brazil Up Front podcast, ex-Arsenal midfielder Parlour warned Klopp about the perils of underestimating Wolves.
“This is the game where Liverpool rest a load of players. Wolves beat a good Stoke side away from home. So don’t underestimate them,” Parlour said.
Liverpool are in fourth place in the Premier League table and eight points behind current leaders Chelsea ahead of the west London side’s visit to Anfield next Tuesday.
