Michael Owen states his prediction for Man City v Tottenham

Michael Owen is backing Tottenham to earn at least a point against Manchester City on Saturday

Michael Owen is tipping Tottenham to win or draw against Manchester City at The Etihad in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Tottenham head into the game in fine form after having backed up their win over Chelsea with a 4-0 thrashing of West Brom at White Hart Lane last weekend.

The Lilywhites are currently in second place in the Premier League table and seven points behind leaders Chelsea heading into this weekend’s round of games.

Manchester City, meanwhile, are aiming to bounce back to winning ways after the disappointment of their 4-0 beating at the hands of Everton last weekend.

And Owen is backing Tottenham to claim at least some points from Saturday’s clash with Pep Guardiola’s men.

Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “Spurs have won their last three Premier League games against City and I certainly don’t think they will lose at the Etihad in a vital game in the title race.

“City for all their undoubted ability looked fragile defensively at Goodison on Sunday and they meet in Deli Alli and Harry Kane, arguably, the two most inform players in the division.

“It promises to be one of the games of the season.”
