Man United offer France striker the same deal as Paul Pogba – report
Manchester United are willing to pay Antoine Griezmann £220,000-a-week, according to reports
Manchester United have promised Antoine Griezmann that he will be handed the same wages as Paul Pogba if the Atletico Madrid star moves to Old Trafford, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun are reporting that the Red Devils are willing to hand Griezmann a contract worth £220,000 a week to ensure the striker has parity with his France team-mate Pogba at the 20-time English champions.
The same article states that the Manchester club have been holding talks with the centre-forward’s representatives this week as both sides look to thrash out personal terms ahead of a potential move.
Pogba moved to Manchester United in a world-record £89m deal in the summer transfer window and the Red Devils made the midfielder their best-paid player after he put pen to paper on a £220,000-a-week deal.
Griezmann has scored 44 goals in his last two La Liga campaigns.
However, Diego Simeone’s side have missed out on silverware after losing to Real Madrid in the Champions League final in 2016.
