Man United turn down £19m offer for midfielder – report

Manchester United have rejected Everton's £19m offer for Morgan Schneiderlin, according to reports

Manchester United have turned down a £19m offer for want-away midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin from Everton, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Telegraph are reporting that the Red Devils have rejected Everton’s approach for the midfielder despite Schneiderlin being out-of-favour under Jose Mourinho.

The same article states that the Toffees have made Schneiderlin their number one target in the January transfer window as new manager Ronald Koeman looks to bolster his squad after a disappointing start since his appointment in the summer.

The France international has made just three substitute appearances in the 2016-17 Premier League campaign so far after falling down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

However, the report in The Daily Telegraph claims that Manchester United are unwilling to settle for anything less than the £24m that the Red Devils paid Southampton for the midfielder’s services in the 2015 summer transfer window.

Jose Mourinho signed midfielders Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba in the summer after his appointment as Louis van Gaal’s successor.
