Gary Neville states his prediction for Man United v Liverpool

Gary Neville looks ahead to Manchester United's crunch clash with Liverpool on Sunday

Gary Neville believes that Manchester United will be the favourites heading into this weekend’s crunch clash with Liverpool at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils head into the game looking to continue their recent good form under new boss Jose Mourinho.

Manchester United have won their last six games in a row in the Premier League to leave them in sixth place in the table and 10 points behind leaders Chelsea.

Liverpool, meanwhile, have stuttered in recent weeks but are still second in the table and five points behind Chelsea.

The Red Devils know that a win over Liverpool would allow them to close the gap to Jurgen Klopp’s men down to just two points.

And Neville feels that the tides have turned in recent weeks, meaning that Manchester United are now the favourites to win heading into the crunch clash.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Neville said: “Four or five weeks ago you’d have said Liverpool would be favourites, but now you would probably say United were.

“It hasn’t been like that for the last few months and I’m interested to see how United handle that.”
