Martin Keown states his prediction for Man United v Liverpool

Martin Keown has his say ahead of Manchester United's crunch clash with Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday

Martin Keown is tipping Manchester United to beat Liverpool 2-1 in Sunday afternoon’s crunch clash at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils head into the game in fine form, having won their last nine games in all competitions, including a 2-0 win over Hull City in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.

Manchester United are currently in sixth place in the Premier League but know that a win over Liverpool would allow them to close the gap to Liverpool down to just two points.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are aiming to bounce back to winning ways in the top flight after they were held to a 2-2 draw by Sunderland at the Stadium of Light last week.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are second and five points behind leaders Chelsea heading into Sunday’s showdown at Old Trafford.

And former Arsenal defender Keown is expecting to see Manchester United edge to victory over Liverpool on Sunday.
