Manager responds to reports linking Chelsea with January swoop for 29-year-old
Carlo Ancelotti has rubbished reports of Arturo Vidal leaving Bayern Munich to sign for Chelsea
Carlo Ancelotti has emphatically rubbished speculation linking Chelsea with a possible January transfer swoop to sign Arturo Vidal from Bayern Munich.
There is bound to be plenty of speculation linking Chelsea with a host of players this month now that the January transfer window is open.
Vidal has been touted as a possible transfer target for the west London club in recent weeks.
However, Bayern Munich boss has moved quickly to emphatically quash the reports of a possible move to Chelsea for Vidal.
Asked about the speculation, former Chelsea boss Ancelotti – now in charge at Bayern – is quoted as saying by FourFourTwo: “This is absolute nonsense.”
Chelsea are currently flying high at the top of the Premier League table following the appointment of Conte back in the summer.
The Blues’ sharp upturn in form this season has been in stark contrast to their struggles last term, when they ended up 10th in the Premier League table and without a trophy.
