Mesut Ozil sends message to Arsenal fans and drops hint about future

Mesut Ozil says he is feeling comfortable in London as the speculation about his Arsenal future continues

Mesut Ozil has admitted that he is now feeling more comfortable in London as the speculation about his future at Arsenal continues.

The Germany playmaker made his first appearance of 2017 for the Gunners on Saturday as the north London side sealed a 4-0 win over Swansea City in the Premier League at the Liberty Stadium.

Ozil had been missing over the festive period due to illness but was in good form as the Gunners sealed a comfortable victory on Saturday.

The 28-year-old is believed to be in talks with Arsenal about the prospect of extending his contract at The Emirates beyond the summer of 2018.

However, the World Cup winner has hinted that he could be set to extend his stay at the north London club by revealing that he is feeling more comfortable than ever in the English capital.

Ozil is quoted as saying by Metro: “I’ve simply arrived in the Premier League since last season.

“I’ve remained injury-free for the most part and I feel very comfortable in London now as well.

“I’ve changed a few things in my life this past year, for example my diet and my training.

“That helps me to regenerate fast after games and it reduces the chance of getting injured.”
