Michael Owen reacts to Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Chelsea on Twitter
Michael Owen makes bold claim about the title race after Chelsea lose 2-0 at Tottenham Hotspur
Michael Owen has claimed on Twitter that the Premier League title race is wide open after Tottenham’s 2-0 win against leaders Chelsea on Wednesday night.
Chelsea made the short trip to White Hart Lane looking to equal Arsenal’s 14-game winning run in the Premier League after maintaining a 100 per cent record since a 3-0 loss at Arsenal in September.
However, England midfielder Dele Alli made the breakthrough for the hosts in added time at the end of the first half to take his tally to nine goals in the 2016-17 season so far.
The 21-year-old doubled the home side’s lead in the 54th minute after Christian Eriksen provided another lofted cross for the reigning PFA young player of the year.
Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Owen believes the title race is now wide open again after Tottenham’s 2-0 win against Antonio Conte’s side.
The screams are heard across the country. The title race is wide open again. #TOTCHE
