Michael Owen: Why this Man United player will score at West Ham
Michael Owen is tipping Henrikh Mkhitaryan to score for Manchester United against West Ham on Monday
Michael Owen is tipping Henrikh Mkhitaryan to fire Manchester United to victory over West Ham United in the Premier League on Monday afternoon.
The Red Devils head into their clash against the east London side in fine form and having notched up their fifth win in a row in the top flight thanks to their 2-1 victory over Middlesbrough at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Manchester United have made some significant improvements in recent weeks and have been in solid form in the top flight.
Summer signing Mkhitaryan has also begun to find his feet in England and now looks like he could become a key player for the Red Devils this season.
And former Manchester United striker Owen says that the Armenia international could be the man to fire them to victory in London on Monday afternoon.
Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “Both sides look to be improving and this should be a cracking game.
“United lost their last ever league game at Upton Park last season but I don’t think they will lose their first game at the London Stadium.
“Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have been sensational in recent weeks and the latter could be the difference between the sides on Monday.”
Manchester United finished fifth and won the FA Cup last season before they sacked Louis van Gaal and brought in Jose Mourinho as the club’s new boss.
