Michael Owen: Why this player will score for Arsenal v Burnley

Michael Owen is expecting to see Olivier Giroud to fire Arsenal to victory over Burnley at The Emirates on Sunday

Michael Owen is tipping Olivier Giroud to fire Arsenal to victory over Burnley at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

The north London side head into the game looking to make it back to back wins in the Premier League after their 4-0 victory over Swansea City in the top flight last weekend.

Arsenal are currently fourth in the Premier League table and eight points behind leaders Chelsea heading into this weekend’s round of games.

And former Manchester United and Liverpool forward is expecting the Gunners to have too much for Sean Dyche’s side at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “Burnley’s well-documented troubles on the road are set to continue at the Emirates.

“Olivier Giroud has scored in each of his last nine starts in all competitions for the Gunners and his confidence must be sky-high at present – follow a goal-scorer on a roll.”

Arsenal are looking to build on their second-placed finish in the Premier League table last season.

The north London side have not won the Premier League title since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 season.
