Nathan Ake reveals exactly what Antonio Conte said to him after Chelsea return

Nathan Ake lifts the lid on his conversation with Antonio Conte following his return to Chelsea this month

Nathan Ake has lifted the lid on his first conversation with Antonio Conte after his return to Chelsea from his loan spell at Bournemouth this season.

The defender impressed during his time with Eddie Howe’s men this season and earned plenty of praise for his performances for the Cherries.

His displays at Bournemouth clearly did not go unnoticed back at his parent club, and new Chelsea boss Conte opted to recall the defender early from his loan spell this month.

Ake will now be hoping to fight for a regular spot in the Chelsea first team between now and the end of the season as he bids to help the Blues win the Premier League title.

And the Dutchman has lifted the lid on his first conversation with Conte following his return to Stamford Bridge.

Speaking in an interview with Chelsea TV, Ake said: “He’s happy for me to come back.

“He said he’s watched my games and that I did well in those games.

“He wants to see me here, how I’ll do in this team and, yes, to learn different positions.

“I’m looking forward to training and learning a lot under this coach.”
