Nemanja Vidic: What I really think about Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Man United

Nemanja Vidic praises Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the impact he has had at Manchester United this season

Nemanja Vidic has heaped praise on Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the impact he has had at Manchester United in recent months.

The veteran striker has been a regular fixture in the Manchester United team since his arrival at Old Trafford from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window.

There had been doubts about whether Ibrahimovic would be able to adapt to the rigours of English football given his age.

However, the veteran forward has proved his doubters wrong by earning a regular spot in the Red Devils team under new boss Jose Mourinho.

Ibrahimovic scored 14 goals for Manchester United in the Premier League heading into Saturday’s clash with Stoke at The Britannia Stadium.

And Vidic has heaped praise on the Swedish forward for the impact he has had at Old Trafford so far this season.

Speaking in an interview with ESPN FC, Vidic said: “He is the one who has been driving Manchester United forward in recent weeks.

“Other players have to step up with the goals if they want to keep winning matches. He is playing really well this season.

“First of all, his motivation at 35 years of age is incredible. I think he’s keeping himself fit. He’s professional. And his scoring is a great record.”
