N’Golo Kante sends message to Chelsea fans after Tottenham loss

N'Golo Kante insists that Chelsea won't take long to bounce back form the disappointment of their loss to Tottenham

N’Golo Kante has insisted that Chelsea will not take long to bounce back from the disappointment of their 2-0 loss to Tottenham last week.

Dele Alli scored either side of half-time to condemn Chelsea to their first Premier League defeat in 13 games in the top flight on Wednesday night at White Hart Lane.

The defeat dealt a blow to Chelsea’s title charge but the Blues are still leading the way at the top of the Premier League table and are five points ahead of second-placed Liverpool.

Antonio Conte’s men must now dust themselves down as they prepare for their FA Cup third-round clash against Peterborough at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

And Kante has issued a rallying cry to his team-mates ahead of their FA Cup clash in west London.

Speaking to Chelsea’s website, Kante said: “For our confidence, to keep our advantage in the league and to fight to stay in front for as long we can.

“We are disappointed to see the winning run come to an end, but we have played game after game and now we have dropped three points we are disappointed with that. We have to accept we lost and come back stronger with the desire to win.

“We don’t think about making another run, it’s just game after game. We have a good team with good character. Now we have to be focused for the next game in the cup and come back in the league with a win.”
